ARMANI EVERYTHING

In one of the best known landmarks of Dubai, Burj Kalifa, you will find the Armani Hotel. Everything in this place is designed and actually signatured by ’the man himself’. Even the sugar for your coffee comes in an Armani ‘A’.

Dubai doesn’t come with sidewalks… and the Armani Hotel doesn’t come with a reception desk. Once you’ve entered the hotel, there will be a personal butler assigned to you who will make sure you will have the stay of a lifetime.
It’s a calm hotel, the beige colors flat out the busy schedule in your head so you can enjoy your time relaxing after a day of business or city strolling. Personally I love a fancy tea and a small bite on my arrival – add a little chit-chat with the waiter about the latest darjeeling and voila… exactly what you get at the Armani Hotel.

We had dinner in the Armani Deli restaurant later that day and I would recommend to go there if you have a chance. This restaurant is between überchic and average. Make sure you dress up (no flip flops!!) and have fun! One of the most striking features of the Armani Deli restaurant is the ‘Pork room’. As you understand, in Dubai the main religion is Muslim… (aka No-Pork-Please). But most of the foreign visitors really like a slice of ham to go with a good glass of wine, which I can imagine. Therefor the ever-clever Giorgio Armani implemented the Pork Room; a closed chilled room, entirely filled with pork.
The a-la-carte dishes as well as the buffet are really good. We had the octopus with octopus ink sauce for starter, lambs rack with pees and hazelnut for main course and both a dessert assortiment of 3 delicious desserts. Our favorites were the chocolate bavaroise and the white chocolate cheesecake.
Lucky bastards as we are, our contact arranged top notch seats for us at the deck with a fountain view! We enjoyed a full range of spectacular Las Vegas-like fountain shows during dinner, right from our seats.
