Artist and innovator Daan Roosegaarde explores the dawn of a new nature that is evolving from technological innovations. He creates smart and social designs that instinctively interact with sound and movement. Roosegaarde’s remarkable works function as exploration of the dynamic relation between architecture, people, and technology.
FLOW is a smart wall composed of hundreds of ventilators that interact with passing visitors. The wall comes alive. By walking and interacting with the wall, visitors trigger an illusive landscape of transparent fields and artificial wind. It’s interesting the the wall overshadows you with moving ventilators. The combination of lighting and the wall (flow) gives it an extra dimension. The flat wall, now occupies the space. The light transforms the geometric ventilators to an organic surface corresponding with water.
